The Edge-Cloud Integrated Solution is designed for the unique demands of edge storage and compute in IoT. It tackles the exponential growth of edge data by integrating a multimodal edge-side database with cloud-based GreptimeDB Enterprise. This combination reduces traffic, computing, and storage costs while enhancing data timeliness and business insights.

GreptimeCloud is a fully-managed cloud database-as-a-service (DBaaS) solution built on GreptimeDB. It efficiently supports applications in fields such as observability, IoT, and finance.

Enterprise Account Executive - SaaS (US-based)

We're seeking a proactive Technical Sales Executive with proven success in SaaS Sales to pioneer our sales process and standard at this early but fast-growing stage. You will be working primarily in America with an opportunity to expand to EU, APAC or LATAM, if desired.

Your enterprise selling activities will include a "hunter" type activities to proactively seek and penetrate the potential customer. The role demands adeptness in detailed account planning, relationship building, and orchestrating effective sales campaigns. At Greptime, the sales cycle typically spans 3-6 months, requiring collaboration with internal cross-functional teams and potential external partners.

Ideal candidates are process-oriented and possess fundamental knowledge of time-series databases, cloud-native ecosystem, and SaaS services. It is preferred to have a strong network of contacts with decision makers across the region, and experience selling similar solutions to these accounts. Having an intuitive understanding of the technical needs of these large accounts is critical to create and deliver compelling value propositions to them for Greptime solutions.

Your Responsibilities

You will be responsible for building a pipeline composed of net new deals, as well as expansion on the current customer base with flexibility in your outbound approach.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Generate new business opportunities from multichannel outbound campaigns
  • Develop a territory plan: target accounts, and demand gen strategies
  • Research accounts, identify key players, generate interest and develop accounts to stimulate opportunities
  • Participate in in-person demand generation events, customer meetings (conferences, roadshows etc.)
  • Develop customer relationships to promote new logos and retention
  • Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline - Manage, track, and report on all activities and results using CRM SaaS(such as HubSpot)
  • Leverage sales methodologies like MEDDPICC to qualify and forecast opportunities
  • Map technical needs to business needs to convey ROI. Translate tech specs into business needs and showcase product ROI to prompt customer purchases
  • Be a customer advocate and liaison with Greptime’s engineering team for feature requests

Requirements

  • Technical background, or technical orientation, necessary for selling B2B SaaS solutions
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in B2B SaaS software sales
  • A self-starter with a track record of successful, credible lead follow-up and sales development at multiple executive levels within an organization
  • Fluent English communication skills, fostering collaboration between teams
  • GTM experience, experienced in consultative sales and proficient in educating customers on best practices, product features, new releases, and upgrades
  • Consistent pursuit of excellence, comfortable working in a high-energy sales team environment
  • Preferred knowledge of databases (especially time-series databases), commercial open-source sales and bottom up selling

Developer Relationship (US-based)

We're seeking a proactive DevReler with enthusiasm to advocate the technology developed by Greptime and build a strong tech brand among developers.

As a DevReler, you will be at the forefront, championing our technology to developers and vice versa. In this role, you will make developers more productive and empowered by creating demos and technical content, giving talks, organizing meetups, and engaging with users online. You will advocate for the community by working with Product and Engineering to help align their efforts with the needs of the community.

Greptime is a company built by and for developers. DevRelers will be a leader who directly impacts our entire user community.

Your Responsibilities

  • Become an authority on GreptimeDB and GreptimeCloud, both Open Source and Commercial
  • Helping developers get started using these software and platforms to build their own solutions
  • Establish a social media presence representing Greptime
  • Participate in Greptime Community Groups and Slack discussions
  • Regularly present at conferences, meetups and online events showcasing Greptime products and technology.
  • Build and deliver technical training workshops using Greptime software
  • Write sample applications, prototypes, and code samples to showcase the power and flexibility of GreptimeDB and its ecosystem.
  • Support and reduce onboarding friction with our user community through code sample creation, debugging, direct partner engagement, and long-tail support channels (forums, blog posts, etc.).
  • Be an advocate for developers internally and influence Greptime’s product strategy by working with cross-functional teams.
  • Build relationships with other technical experts and communities around other projects.

Requirements

  • You are a strong public speaker with experience delivering presentations at conferences, meetups, or online events.
  • You have 2+ years working with and supporting open-source projects, developers, platforms, communities, or user groups.
  • You have built technology demonstrations and examples for developers to follow.
  • You have knowledge of software development and the ability to learn new technologies and languages.

Bonus points

  • Experience building and delivering technical training both in person and online
  • Strong technical writing skills
  • Experience contributing code to open-source projects
  • Knowledge and experience with IoT/Edge devices, protocols, and frameworks. For example, InfluxDB, Prometheus, TimescaleDB, VictoriaMetrics, etc.
  • Have a background with any of Rust, Python, Javascript, Java, etc.
